Description

First light of the new ASI 662MC camera that was kindly sent to me free of charge by ZWO and the shipping was done by https://www.fotonastro.com.br/ so that there is no taxation since the camera came for testing purposes.
In the photo we can see the Moon Rhea as well as the transit of Tethys in the disk of the planet.
As a first photo and being still in the process of fitting in with the new camera, I can say that I was satisfied, the conditions were not favorable, seeing estimated at 3/5 as well as high relative humidity of the air causing condensation of water on the corrector plate because I had problems with the thermal belt of the dew protector, being forced to dry the plate with a certain frequency with a hair dryer, which any planetarist well knows is a bad option.
I'll reserve the right for a more in-depth analysis after further testing, but I can say at the outset that I didn't have any problems operating the camera.
I used Fire Capture, which ran very favorably, and I easily got speeds around 150 fps in a 1024 x 768 frame, which I really liked.
Color adjustments easy to configure looking at the PC screen, and I didn't notice dead pixels like the old 290MC.
I'm looking forward to Jupiter to take the test of nine!
